A graduate of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He graduated with a master's degree in Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in management and marketing from the Faculty of Organization and Management.
He did his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Mining at the S. Staszic Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow.
Employee of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and the Ministry of Economy, where he oversaw creating government programs for the restructuring of heavy industries, i.e., mining, metallurgy, and others.
President of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa SA , Huta Bankowa Sp. z o.o. and Wasko S.A.
Advisor to the Board of Directors of KPMG Advisory in Warsaw and Carboautomatics SA in Tychy.
Currently Director of the Central Mining Institute - State Mining Institute in Katowice.
The most important thing in his career is to complete the creation of a coal and coke group by integrating coking coal mines and coking plants into a single entity.
In 2011, he led the IPO of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, from which the State Treasury received approximately PLN 5.5 billion while retaining a controlling stake.
Among the awards and distinctions, the title “The one who changes Polish industry”.
