President of the City of Katowice

He has always been connected with Katowice - he was born, works and lives here. He graduated from the Faculty of Transportation at the Silesian University of Technology. In 2005, he defended his doctoral thesis in the field of Machine Construction and Operation,and then worked as an assistant professor at the same university. He also completed postgraduate studies.

in the field of Organization Management. He is an expert on the evaluation of EU projects within the framework of the ROP of the Silesian Voivodeship and an expert on the fiscal means of motor transport.

From 2006 to 2010, he was a councilor of the City Council of Katowice, and from 2010 to 2014, he was vice-mayor in charge of strategic areas in the city - overseeing work in strategic planning, transportation systems development, environmental protection and shaping, municipal management, land use and planning, and construction. In 2014, he announced his election program - “Agreement with the people of Katowice” - and was elected mayor of Katowice.
