INTO 2024 Congress is behind us
Europe's energy and digital sovereignty, the effects of the ecological transition, the prospects for green hydrogen, the development of artificial intelligence and nuclear energy in Poland will be the main topics of the European Industry and Energy Congress Industry in Transition. On June 3 and 4, leading representatives of the Polish government, EU institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises will meet at the International Congress Center.
June's Industry in Transition is an important date in the calendar of all those interested in the direction in which the economy and industry are heading, not only in Poland or the European Union, but also in the whole world. In organizing the European Congress of Industry and Energy, the Katowice Chamber of Commerce wanted to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and transfer of demands between the worlds of business and politics.
- Our goal is to discuss, among the widest possible group, the directions and principles of transformation of the European industrial and energy sector,” reveals Tomasz Zjawiony, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice.
Therefore, among the participants of Industry in Transition will be the ministers of the Polish government responsible for this sphere: the Minister of Industry - Marzena Czarnecka, the Minister of State Assets - Jakub Jaworowski and the Deputy Minister of National Defense - Cezary Tomczyk, as well as Krzysztof Galos, Chief National Geologist at the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
Participation in the congress was announced by the presidents of the largest Polish companies: Michał Dąbrowski, chairman of the Industrial Development Agency, Sanjay Samaddar, chairman of the board of ArcelorMittal Poland, Grzegorz Lot, chairman of Tauron Polska Energia, Ryszard Janta, chairman of Jąstbska Spółka Węglowa, Krzysztof Zamasz, vice chairman of the Veolia Polska Group and the new head of Poland's top economic zone: Rafał Żelazny, president of the Katowice Special Economic Zone, and Piotr Kisiel, president of Rosmak S.A.
The processes of industrial, social, energy and digital transformation are great challenges also for entrepreneurs and residents of the Silesian region. Therefore, the discussions will not be short of representatives of regional and local governments: the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship - Wojciech Saługa, Kazimierz Karolczak, Chairman of the Upper Silesian-Zagłębian Metropolis, and the representative of the Polish Government in the Silesian Voivodeship - Governor Marek Wójcik.
Those fascinated by the digital challenges of the third decade of the 21st century, especially digital security and geopolitics, will certainly not be bored during the speeches by former Prime Minister and President of the European Parliament Prof. Jerzy Buzek, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, Dr. Mariusz Sokolowski, long-time spokesman for the Chief of Police, and Dr. Marek Zuber, economist and financial expert.
The European Industry and Energy Congress Industry in Transition will be held on June 3 and 4 at the International Congress Center in Katowice. Registration for the event is still ongoing. The program of the June edition envisages, among other things, discussions on energy security, energy efficiency, nuclear energy, green hydrogen, the European Skills Pact, climate neutrality, shaping the legal framework for renewable energy sources, electromobility and transport of the future.
The Congress is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, which has been working for entrepreneurs for more than 30 years and has extensive experience in organizing economic events for thousands of participants.
- Representatives of such industries as energy, renewable energy sources, industry, metallurgy, mining and new technologies are especially invited to participate and discuss during the European Industry and Energy Congress INDUSTRY IN TRANSITION,” encourages Tomasz Zjawiony, president of RIG.
Among other things, the Chamber is the organizer of the European Congress of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Katowice, the largest European meeting of the sector, and the conference announcing the Industry In Trasition Congress took place in April this year.
