This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for the processing and protection of personal data provided by Users of the website intocongress.eu, hereinafter referred to as the “Service” or the “Website”.
The controller of the personal data contained on the website www.intocongress.eu is the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, with its registered office in Katowice (40-084), ul. Opolska 15, entered in the business register under KRS number: 0000163418, NIP: 6341006202, REGON: 003445317, e-mail address: gabinet@rig.katowice.pl, telephone number: +48 32 35 111 80, hereinafter referred to as the “Controller”.
A User of the Service is any natural person visiting the website www.intocongress.eu or using one or more services and/or products offered by the Controller.
The Website collects Users’ personal data entered in forms on the basis of consent expressed by the Users themselves.
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person whose identity can be determined directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or one or more specific factors defining physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. Personal data include in particular the device IP address, location data, online identifiers and information collected via cookies or similar technologies.
Users’ personal data are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR).
The Controller exercises special care to protect the interests of data subjects and ensures in particular that the collected data are:
processed lawfully,
collected for specified, lawful purposes and not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes,
factually correct and adequate in relation to the purposes for which they are processed,
stored in a form enabling identification of data subjects for no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes of processing.
The data provided or left by the User when registering for services and products offered by the Controller and when using them are used for:
registration for participation in the INTO Congress (hereinafter referred to as the “Congress”), creation of an individual account in the registration system, organisation and conduct of the Congress, communication and provision of information related to participation;
fulfilling obligations imposed on the Controller under applicable law related to the organisation of the Congress;
informational purposes and other activities related to the Controller’s presence on the website;
execution of contracts and commercial processes;
marketing purposes (sending commercial information electronically and telemarketing activities);
evaluation of the organisation of the Congress and satisfaction surveys;
contact, exchange of information and data.
The Controller processes the following personal data of Users:
first name and surname,
e-mail address,
company/institution/organisation/university name,
number of employees,
industry,
position/student status,
education,
telephone number,
city, postal code, region, street, country.
Providing the personal data referred to above is voluntary but necessary to provide electronic services via the Website and to participate in the Congress.
Personal data may be disclosed to:
a) entities authorised under applicable law, in particular authorities entitled to control the Controller’s activities or obtain personal data under legal provisions;
b) entities whose services are used by the Controller in connection with the organisation of the Congress, including registration service providers and PR service providers;
c) business partners for the purpose of direct marketing activities and provision of electronic services;
d) entities providing accounting outsourcing services, auditors, legal or tax advisors, and IT service providers.
Personal data will not be transferred to third countries or international organisations.
Personal data will not be subject to automated processing or profiling.
Use of the Website, registration for services and products and their use, which involves providing personal data, is entirely voluntary. The data subject independently decides whether to use the electronic services provided by the Controller.
In accordance with GDPR, personal data are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f), i.e.:
the data subject has given consent,
processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract,
processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation of the Controller,
processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the Controller.
Processing always takes place within the permissible legal grounds indicated above.
Personal data will be processed for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of processing. For contractual purposes – for the duration of the contract, and thereafter for the period required by law or necessary to pursue claims. For legitimate interests – until an objection to processing is accepted.
The Controller takes due care to secure the personal data provided, in particular against access by unauthorised persons.
The User has the right to access and rectify their personal data.
Each person has the right to control the processing of their data, including the right to request supplementation, updating, correction, temporary or permanent suspension of processing, or deletion of data if they are incomplete, outdated, incorrect, unlawfully collected or no longer necessary.
Each person has the right to object to the processing of data for marketing purposes or other purposes without providing justification.

Requests should specify as precisely as possible the scope and nature of the request.
The User has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
